Actually, it is clearly synthesized as that is Techno. Most synthesizing ruins music but I guess some exceptions are, The Raing Song, Kashmir, Comfortably Numb, Time, Any Colour You Want, Dark Side Of The Moon and Trampled Under Foot. But other than that, it is best to have a pure, real sound although there is nothing wrong with distortion. alot of metal... melodic death metal, thrash, progressive, death, just to name a few of the genre's. I also enjoy good hard rock bands and some ambient and off the wall stuff.
